Growing Through Games, Inc. was created by two educators who have spent the majority of their teaching careers in Early Childhood classrooms.

Nancy Jo Mannix has taught preschool, kindergarten and primary multiage. Recipient of the Walt Disney World® Kindergarten Innovative Teaching Award, Nancy Jo continues to stay connected by demonstrating best practice teaching; most recently, with preschool teachers and children in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia.

In 2001, her book, Tune Into Shared Reading and Music, was published through Rigby Best Teacher’s Press.

Bridget Smolcich is a former Kindergarten and First Grade teacher and a reading specialist. She earned National Board Certification, Early Childhood Generalist, in 1999. Cathy Grajeda is a magna cum laude graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Master of Arts in Applied English Linguistics with a minor in Spanish. She holds supervisor, administrator and translator certificates. Cathy's teaching experience includes elementary and middle school (regular, bilingual, Spanish, Gifted/Talented), adult basic education and ESL at all levels. Additionally, she's been a high school assistant principal as well as a central office curriculum, instructional and staff devlopment facilitator for K-12 teachers and administrators.
